Once all our information is posted you will have to agree that Wolf Point Ranch is breeding the best performance and halter horses on the market. In fact if you take a moment to read the other side I think you will agree with us - Wolf Point is putting the best Arabian and Half Arabian Cutting horses in the ring in recent history. Just check the record books, we broke them all at the 2008 US National Arabian and Half Arabian Horse Show.
What is the reason for all of the new site? Well let's start with a total revamp of the ranch! In fact the direction of the horses is now at the deft hand of Kelly Alcorn, Trainer. Kelly has been on board for a while and has some very impressive credentials which did not escape our eye. Under Kelly's direction Wolf Point is continuing to dominate the working western and western classes. Kelly is a very welcome addition to the ranch and she will be taking care of all of the equine operations.
So what do we have to offer? Well for starters the Stallions are all Champions. Bahir - The Brazilian National Champion Halter horse is now two, Invictus-A National Champion English and Park horse, Seagfreed - National Champion Cutting Horse and our newest addition - Breyerwood a Congress Reserve Champion. Do we have your attention now? Good.
Can't wait to see what we have-drop us a line and we will give you an advance peek!

The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo
treated the crowd to a very special appearance by "Mr. Las Vegas" himself,
Wayne Newton
When Wolf Point Ranch was asked by the Houston Livestock and Rodeo if we would be able to let Wayne Newton ride one of our horses we naturally thought of our stallion Trick R Treat. With his winning show record and classic Arabian looks this stallion would be the obvious choice for a mount for "Mr. Las Vegas"! When Wayne got on him the two complemented each other in terms of look and style; it was a great match for both.
There was no amount of training that could have gotten Trick R Treat ready for his performance that night. Kelly Alcorn, Wolf Point's Trainer, had only one afternoon in the arena in order to prepare him for the festivities. She rode him as the show was setting up for the evening session among all the lights, cameras and music without a problem. When she was confident that he was ready Wayne came in to ride him. What a natural pairing it was. Mr. Newton is a very tall man and Kelly was unsure that the stirrup leathers would be long enough for him. It didn't matter what the length, Wayne is such a great rider that he could have ridden him with no tack! His love for the Arabian breed was obvious as he took the reins and the two went off around the arena in what looked to be mutual admiration.
The Grand Entry is the session opening for each evening at the rodeo. The attendance numbers had set new records this year and that evening ESPN was there to film the finals. Talk about noise and crowds! As the speakers blared the music each participant came it, of course Wayne got the biggest roar as he was the headliner for entertainment that evening. Along with Larry and Kelly Alcorn, Dianna Stanger as the proud owner rode each step with Trick R Treat as we hoped he would not make a misstep. The entry took a very long time! It began with all the officials, Wayne, and then progressed to the Conestoga wagons pulled by mules, fire trucks and then a full US Army Calvary! The procession would serpentine around the arena and continued to the crowd's pleasure for more than thirty minutes. Trick R Treat took it all in great stride with Wayne on his back the two were working the crowd like they had been together forever. When it was time to leave the two rode through to tunnel with the crowd still roaring its approval.
It was the most nerve-racking and proud night that Wolf Point has had. Kelly and Dianna continually marvel at how well Trick R Treat did in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo - and of course the chance to work with a Vegas headliner! I think that Mr. Newton enjoyed Trick R Treat as much as Trick R Treat loved the appreciation of the audience.
Invictus Rocks the Scottsdale 2009 Open Park Championship with Tish Kondas
By the time the dust settled there was no doubt who could out park trot them all - none other than the wonderfully talented Invictus. Looking better than ever, Invictus took the ring with his heart-stopping action. Completely in control of this wonderful stallion, Tish rode him pass after pass and each one with the cadenced balance the National Champion Arabian is known for. After a few years off it shows that this is a guy who loves his work, and works for love.
